De Monfort Mews, Leicester

De Monfort Mews is a new build, high-end student accommodation scheme, compromising of 91 self-contained, ultra-modern student apartments with generous communal facilities.

The development is located at 1-9 De Monfort Mews, Leicester and within walking distance of the De Montfort University and University of Leicester campuses. The development communal facilities include a gym, movie room, study pods, a reception area, laundry, new parking and cycle storage. The project involved demolishing the existing buildings on site and redeveloping the site to maximise its potential into a mews-style inspired, modern architectural approach. MAS architecture design services employed for the RIBA plan of Works Stages 0-7. The architectural merit in this scheme had been very successful as a modern response to the historic context and architectural character surrounding the site.
