Refurbishment and new build residential scheme within the heart of leafy Selly Oak, Birmingham. The proposal consists of refurbishment and conversion of existing hotel building and the construction of a new building, thus providing 14 one- and two-bedrooms luxury apartments. The architectural approach has been a modern approach but as a response to the existing context. The choice of pitched roofs, layering, and large windows, horizontal and vertical alignment are all key design drivers for this scheme. The overall result, another great example of responsive pieces of architecture that is well considered and balanced in its settings.
